Taking Care of Your Child While Leaving You at Ease
About Our Classrooms:
We provide a solid program that caters to all.
At Foundations For Learning our goal is to provide children with the educational experiences that are important in early development.
We understand that not every child is the same nor do they learn the same. With that in mind, we do our best to cater our curricula to fit the development and educational needs of the children in each classroom.
Social/Emotional skills are another important aspect of the curriculum at Foundations for Learning. With guidance from our staff we teach the children to communicate with each other and understand the needs of one-another. Our goal is to introduce the children to these skills and allow opportunities for them to practice. With positive feedback and demonstration, the goal is, the children will eventually learn how to use these aquired skills on their own.
It is extremely important for young children to learn about themselves and each other in a constructive way so that they have acceptance of, and confidence in, themselves as well as one another. By doing so, they develop feelings of self-discipline, self-respect, and self-assurance.
The children who have attended Foundations for Learning in the past have excelled in area schools as they've grown and moved on with their education.
Each classroom's curriculum is planned with activities featuring the following:
-

Safety is one of our #1 priorities at Foundations For Learning and we ensure that every staff is thoroughly trained before taking on a role in the classrooms.
Our staff are trained in many areas including, but not limited to, First Aid/CPR, Medication, and Infant Safe Sleep.
Each classroom has safety plans in place for drills/emergencies and every staff is trained in these areas to ensure safe and quick transitions in case of emergencies.
We ensure staff are following all state policies, creating a safe learning environment for our children.
Through parent communication, structured preschool classrooms, engaging curriculum, and excellent classroom management, we are able to create a positive environment for children to thrive.
For the curriculum, each week the staff focuses on a specific theme which will serve as the basis for all of the activities that the students do throughout the week. In addition to the theme, we also incorporate a letter of the week and a number of the week. The goal is to expose students to pre-academic and academic concepts in a low stress environment. Enrichment Programs and Our Community:
We provide children between 1.5-5 years the opportunity to participate in weekly enrichment programs. We currently offer a Jump Bunch class, which is tied in with tuition, and Karate, for an additional fee.
At Foundations, we believe in learning through play and experiences. We incorporate fun things in our curriculum to help educate children about the world around them.
In the past we've had visits from the Red Door Alpaca Farm, kids artwork displayed at the Welles-Turner Public Library, and special guest readers from the community.
We believe these experiences help enrich the natural curiosity children have about the world around them which builds an early foundation of wanting to learn.

Foundations For Learning believes that it is important to not only be part of a community, but to give back to the community. Each year, we do our best to incorporate many opportunities for students to take part in events and experiences that benefit those in need.
In the past we have held canned food drives, donated items to local homeless shelters, and donated gifts to Toys for Tots.
We also incorporate the community in our curriculum with police/firefighter visits and we teach children the important role they play in our community.
